Free Shipping in the USA Jiminy Cricket is Pinocchio's Conscience Our Last Ones Jiminy Cricket sits on his matchbox bed in Theresa Miller's 2005 Disney creation, "Pinocchio's Conscience". Released on 1/16/2006. Lift the lid to reveal Jiminy"s bed inside. Produced in China, this unique collectible, a Disney Parks exclusive was created in a limited edition of 500 pieces. The box is cast from molds made in the style of netsuke, a form of small sculpture that originated in Japan during the 17th century and became popular in Europe during the 19th century. Objects created in this style were often beautifully decorated with elaborate carving, lacquer work, or inlays of rare and exotic materials, including wood, ivory, precious metals and semi-precious stones. Today, contemporary netsuke of the finest quality are still being carved by artists throughout the world, exploring new techniques, new materials and new subject matter to create original works of art that reflect their own time and place.
