This is a vintage scarce hard to find 1950's boxed, complete, unassembled and unused Disney Marx Television Playhouse #4352. Included in this play set are: metal lithographed stage, plastic figures, stage props, script book and instuction sheet. Also included is the original packing material and bags for all the figures and props. Most of the bags are stamped with the name of the contents. We bought this in our shop from a lady that found it in the attic of the old house they bought. Next is the information on this playset. Lantern The bag stamped PL-461 DISNEY FIGURES has the figures above from Ringmaster/Timothy Mouse down to Donald Duck/Daisy Duck (15 figures) in it.The bag stamped PL-462 DISNEY FIGURES has the figures above from Figaro/Pinocchio to Sleepy Dopey (18 figures) in it.In a bag not stamped are the 5 Peter Pan figures listed above.In another bag not stamped are the 9 blue stage parts listed above.In the last bag that is stamped 478 STAGE PROPS are the 12 red stage parts listed above.As with "all things Marx", Marx released a variety of variations to their "Walt Disney’s Television Playhouse" Play Set. First issued in 1953, it was sold in various forms into the early 1960’s. The soft plastic figures include characters from Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice, Dumbo, Peter Pan plus Mickey and Donald and their families.In 1961, Marx would downscale the molds into harder plastic painted figures they called Disneykins; then slightly later into a slightly upscaled from the Disneykins, Disneykings line, and finally into their same scaled, same soft plastic but painted Disney Fun Pals line.Condition of all soft plastic figures are excellent, clean, unused with no breaks. Condition of the stage parts and props are also excellent, clean, unused with no breaks. The 3 piece tin litho stage is very good, unassembled and clean with no rust. There is one scratch on the curtain area on the left side (see photo). The instuction sheet has gotten brittle and yellowed with age. There is a crease in one corner. The script book is excellent. The box bottom that contains the parts is very good and has the packing material including that is not in perfect condition. The box top has some soiling and age yellowing. It has handling wear and one corner is split. This is a very nice and rare Marx play set to add to your collection! We searched and couldn't find an unused set for sale. Please see 12 photos!
