You are bidding on the very limited edition Star Wars Weekends 5th Anniversary Logo Laser Crystal from Walt Disney World's 2005 Event. (only 50 to 75 produced) This sleek and visually stunning item is a solid crystal plaque that has had a laser burn three dimensional dots inside the crystal to create the amazing images. The heavy, lead crystal plaque and base have nice beveled sides to make an attractive design. The process to create this beautiful item uses a scientific laser that's driven by a very sophisticated computer software program that creates the 3-dimensional image within a flawless piece of optically perfect and clear solid crystal block. Concentrated laser beams are programmed to penetrate and create a single minuscule dot within the crystal. These powerful laser beams are highly focused on a single predetermined microscopic point. The laser control system then refocuses to burn yet another seemingly insignificant particle of glass at another exact point. Following a precise sequence, these laser inscribed points combine to form the completed image in exquisite detail. This burning process could possibly be repeated thousands of times in order to create the amazing 3-D image. Since the laser is non-invasive, the inscribing process leaves no marks or inaccuracies what-so-ever on the surface of the highly polished crystal. The process produces a suspended inner image that lasts forever. When viewed from any angle the intricate design shows depth and layers in the image. Beams of light are refracted in tens of thousands of directions creating a dramatic presentation. The plaque comes in a protective, padded, black box. This item is brand new and never displayed. It comes in the original, protective box.
