Disneyland Haunted Mansion Lyrics Print - Signed! Beautiful Disneyland Haunted Mansion "Grim, Grinning Ghosts" Lyrics print by WED Imagineering Legend Xavier “X” Atencio. Print measures 11" x 17" and has been signed X.A. by X. Atencio This print was sold at a Disneyana Collectibles Show and Sale held in Anaheim, CA several years ago in which X. Atencio and several other WED Imagineering Legends were on hand for a special signing celebrating the anniversary of this popular attraction in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. About Xavier X. Atencio In 1965, at Walt’s request, he moved to WED Enterprises. Walt asked him to write the dialogue and lyrics for the “Pirates of the Caribbean”. His first song “Yo Ho a Pirates Life for Me” is one of the most memorable and loved songs at Disneyland. Teaming up with musican director, Buddy Baker, his next song, “Grim, Grinning Ghosts” for the Haunted Mansion, had equal success. Xavier or X as his friends call him, began his career in 1938 as an inbetweener on Pinocchio and as an Assistant Animator on Fantasia. Later he became an Animator on short subjects including the academy award winning “TOOT, WHISTLE, PLUNK and BOOM”. Retiring in 1984, X was appropriately named a Disney Legend in 1996.
