Up for auction is a beautiful 11" x 17" Haunted Mansion Print depicting the art of Noted Paul Wenzel and the Lyrics of Grim Grinning Ghosts by Xavier "X" Atencio. This print has been signed by veteran Disney Animator, WED Imagineer and Disney Legend, Xavier "X" Atencio during his special guest appearance at the Disneyana Fun Fair's May 6, 2005 special event celebrating the kickoff of Disneylands 50th Anniversary. Xavier or X as his friends call him, began his career in 1938 as an inbetweener on Pinocchio and as an Assistant Animator on Fantasia. Later he became an Animator on short subjects including the academy award winning "TOOT, WHISTLE, PLUNK and BOOM". In 1965, at Walt's request, he moved to WED Enterprises. Walt asked him to write the dialogue and lyrics for the "Pirates of the Caribbean". His first song "Yo Ho a Pirates Life for Me" is one of the most memorable and loved songs at Disneyland. Teaming up with musican director, Buddy Baker, his next song, "Grim, Grinning Ghosts" for the Haunted Mansion, had equal success. Retiring in 1984, X was appropriately named a Disney Legend in 1996.
