This limited edition cloth bound slip-cased set includes: Special edition book signed by Alan Menken, eight-time Academy Award winning composer and Tim Rice, lyricist for Aladdin (as well as Evita, Aida, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc.). Signatures are on bound-in onion skin paper that comes before the title page. The book by Steve Hockman commemorates the music of Menken, Rice and Howard Ashman (deceased), and features photos, art and words to the music of the composer Menken and his lyricists. A second presentation book containing four CDs of music from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. CDs include work tapes and demo performances by Menken, Ashman and Jonathan Freeman. This limited edition (only 2,500 sets) was published and released by the Disney Corporation in 1994 .
