Here is a Henry disston & Sons No 12 panel saw with a 20 inch blade stamped 10 for 10 teeth per inch. The sunken medallion would date the saw to a fairly narrow period from between the 1887 patent date up to very early in the 1890's. Although the No 12 was not Disstons most expensive saw at the time it is by far the most popular today. This one has a near full size blade at over 5 3/4 inch wide at the heel and 2 1/8 inch at the toe. The back side has been left with the original patina intact as well as some glue drips. The front has been cleaned with 600 grit to reveal the etch but not finished entirely. What is clean is very smooth with any rust damage being minimal and hard to see without magnification. It also has a very slight wave in it, you have to look close to see it but I have to call it. I think a good saw Dr could get this saw into good enough shape to be a top user again, not being a saw dr. I can't say what that would cost but should be worth every penny with a quality saw like this.
