DISSTON D SAW 28inch with 5tpi I usually do not sell new merchandise. Everything I sell is found at auctions, flea markets, garage sales and antique stores (not too often) so the condition of this is used. Here is what you are looking at: - dimensions are: 28" long at the teeth and 23 1/2" long on the back; 5 tpi (teeth per inch), teeth are 1/8" long - hardwood handle (has to have been refinished at some time), with FINGER HOLE, 1 brass medallion with 4 other brass screws; top horn has part of end missing (see pic) - other than that goober the handle is in very good shape - had to clean off some of the patina to see the Disston logo etched on the left side; shield only has a 'D' inside - blade is skew backed or sway backed (use the terminology you are familiar with) - blade is discolored and does have some surface rust whick can be cleaned if this is to be a user - there is a '5' on the heel of the blade on the left side - my guess on the age per the medallion is 1896-1917 (go to for their analysis of medallion ages) *** I tried to show the above in the pictures - so please use the pictures as part of the description. *** NNNOTE - it is your choice to take the entire saw, the handle and screws or just the screws - shipping will be adjusted accordingly - initial shipping is for the entire saw.
