This is a truly breathtakingly beautiful ring which is so much better in the flesh than appears in these pictures which do not capture its lovely, shimmering, rich blue 'opalescence'. This is an early 20th Century solid silver ring, a genuine Edwardian stunner, having a rock crystal cabochon, behind which nestles a gorgeous and genuine section of sparkling blue MORPHO butterfly wing. This wonderful wing shimmers majestically when it catches the light, showing off such wonderful blue/green iridescence. This is a UK size 'I' , quite a small size although it would be a simple task to re-size at your local jewellers. The rectangular head measures 1.8cms X 1.35 cms and it weighs a chunky 3.4 grams , 0.12 ounces . The shoulders are beautifully crafted to depict floral petals The silver is dark with patina, which I personally love, (this dates from around 1910 ); although this will polish up gleaming and NEW like, if preferred. The butterfly wing itself is excellent , complete and without any degradation, sparkling every bit as beautifully as when the insect was in flight. It is stamped .92 to the rear, depicting STERLING purity silver. DON'T let this stunner get away! You will do well to find another ring of this quality and beauty as such a great, give-away start price. 99p and NO RESERVES!!
