OUTSTANDING and quite a breathtaking vintage brooch I believe was designed by Miriam Haskell. There are two layers of brass or gold tone metal. The back circle is has machined metal with a twisted row of gold metallic beads and seed pearls. The next layer is made of a metal circle with a rope type design with the same twisted strands of metallic gold colored beads and seed pearls. In the circle created by the second circle and to the side on the back layer are two large faceted clear rhinestones with a group of marquise rhinestones highlighting each large stone. There are four tear drop shaped clear rhinestones dangling from the base, as well as four long strands of chain and aurora borealis crystals with a faux pearl on the end. There is some greening on the metal that should show up in the photographs when enlarged. The brooch does need some cleaning as some of the gold metallic beads are dusty. This is a large and heavy brooch. It measures about 4" from top to bottom and is about 2" in diameter.
