AFTER COMPLETION OF THE CATALOG, ORIGINAL BOX WAS FOUND/ADDED BY CONSIGNOR-DESCRIPTION UPDATED-PHOTO ADDED.8" tall with balls extending outward for total width of 13". Japan, 1930s. By Kuramechi. Box has nicely illustrated paper label showing the toy in action. Lid worn with splits. Box bottom tight and complete with insert. Fine.Clown boy stands atop sphere and holds pair of metal wires covered by celluloid tube that are attached to celluloid balls with bells inside. Toy has built-in key and works. As clown rotates, so do the balls causing the bells to ring. Neat action. Lt. aging. VF/Exc.
