The A- 192 is a CV to MIDI converter.Simply put it means you can control any midi software or VST from your modular synth. Instead of converting Midi to CV as usual, it does the opposite. Coverts CV to MIDI.Wish that VST had an extra LFO, S&H, ADSR, no problem just patch the modular into the correct jack and it will send it as a midi message (modulation, aftertouch, velocity, etc.)You could record yourself moving knobs on the modular as midi data into your DAW for cv recording and editing.It converts up to 16 CV inputs to MIDI controller data. This allows the analogue signals from modules such as LFO's and Envelopes to be converted to MIDI data that a sequencer or MIDI synth can use. MIDI messages appearing at the MIDI Input are merged to the MIDI controller messages generated by the A- 192. 128 different assignments (Presets) of the 16 CV inputs to MIDI controller messages are available. Switching between the 128 presets takes place with an 8- pin DIP switch on the pc board (the preset selected at power up) or via incoming MIDI program change messages. If none of the 128 factory presets is suitable new presets can be made with the Pocket Control editor which is available for free.
