Up for auction is a certainly, one of a kind, piece of Door Studio Pottery done in the style of a 22" floor vase. Massive is the only word that i can think of that accurately describes it!!! 22" tall - 12" aross at the widest - top opening is 6 1/2" and the bottom is just shy of 7". Clearly marked on the bottom as can be seen in the photo and it is hand turned (thrown). The pic's are very close to what it looks like in person. The blackberries and leaves and stems are hand applied. I have the original Door Pottery attachment that originally went with the vase. It is called "Blackberry Swirl in Spring Mix" done by Nicky Ross.....Photos and words cannot describe the beauty of this piece. The wonderful flow of the pastel shadings are incredible - it flows from a mustard colored light and dark brown to a wonderful sea green to a super turquoise color blue - the colors are striated and flow from bottom to top. The photos are very accurate but seeing is believing!!!!! Now comes the good part - it is in absolute mint conditiion - i cannot even find a small scratch on it - the vase is GUARANTEED to be free of any chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs.
