Dorchester Pottery Sacred Cod Mug 2 3/4" NR This listing is a small Dorchester Pottery Mug in the hard to find Sacred Cod pattern. This pattern is also called "Angel Fish" and at times "Holy Mackeral" due to the halo over the fish's head. This example is nicely painted and in excellent condition without any chips or cracks. It measures 2 3/4" high and and a shade under 3 1/4" across. It has the straight sides of the tall mug but shorter. T are seagull silohuettes on the reverse. These are a bit less commonly found in this form. The mug was made after 1971 because it has "EEH" mark which is in memoriam of Ethel Henderson. It is signed by CAH (Charles A. Hill, chief designer/decorator) on the bottom as well as under the handle. This is a nice example to add to your Dorchester Pottery collection. These are being offered with a low starting bid and no reserve. I will accept PayPal, check or money order and I will ship as soon as payment is received. Thanks for checking out my listing. Successful Bidder prepays and pays shipping charges.
