The 18" remote control voice operated Dalek is the latest and by far the biggest RC Dalek to come from Character Options. As with previous 12" RC Dalek's, the 18" Voice Dalek has standard remote control movement, initiated from a handset. This however, is were the similarities end.Although only 6" bigger than the standard RC Dalek, the 18" Voice Dalek seems much bigger and more imposing. The RC Handset has multiple independent controls for Dalek movement,head rotation, Iris Movement and Dalek Speech.It is of course the inbuilt sensors and voice control that really sets the 18" Dalek apart. These features include the following; Speech recognition and control via a large variety of spoken commands.Infrared motion and intruder detection sensors. Ultrasonic Navigation Sensors Directional audio/speech recognition sensors. Impact sensors Flashing communication lights. The 18" Voice Dalek comes with a hefty manual which should be referenced if you are to get the best from this unit. However, some of the features and games include; Sentry or Patrol Mode - Dalek will guide or patrol a room and confront and exterminate intruders which are detected via its infrared sensors. Programmable Movement - Dalek can be programmed with a specific set battle and tactical commands. Defense Mode - Dalek will patrol and lock on to any moving objects
