From 1994 and designed by artist Kay McKee for the Hamilton Collection, "The Dreamer" is a limited edition Porcelain Doll. This clown is "Pierrot " (French: stock character of pantomime ) a famous character of French lore who smiled through his tears and overcame sorrow.He is 24" tall and sits in a golden wooden chair 14 1/2" tall and 7" in diameter, he has a hand tag, original box, Certificate of Authenticity, and is numbered #4432 (of 15,000). All original paperwork you see in the photographs is included. The roses have never been removed from their original plastic packaging.His head, hands and feet are genuine porcelain. His soft body wears beautiful pink, gold, and white hand-crafted clothes with lovely trims and embellishments of brocade, lace and ribbons.The biography of the artist, Kay McKee, is included and reads, in part:"Within weeks of finishing this sculpture, Kay McKee discovered the cause of her headaches was a brain tumor. To save her life, she underwent immediate surgery. Fortunately the surgery was successful and the recovery swift. Kay has always been a deeply religious woman, and she realized that her need to create her first doll sculpture was a gift from God to help her through a time of pain and fear.
