This is a beautiful soft paste porcelain figurine depicting a coach drawn by 2 spotted horses with a mustached coach man holding a horn in one hand and the reigns in the other. The lady waving her handkerchief out of the window is unusual in that the coach appears solid and she is 3 dimensional. Her hair is up in a Victorian style. The deep yellow carriage has a black tarp on top assumably covering luggage and a trunk or chest is set on the back of the coach. The coachman is wearing a blue coat with red cuffs under a gray lined black cape, and a black hat with a red plume. He has a brown blanket wrapped around his lower half. The horses are also quite detailed, they are gray with white spots and brown eyes. I could find no damage or repairs, even the reigns are intact. It is marked on the base behind the coach with the blue crown over an N, the mark of Ernst Bohne & Sohns, Rudolstadt, Germany. This piece is heavy and measures approximately 12.25" wide, 8.25" high and 5.5" deep. Please email me if you have any questions or would like additional photos.
