Please see photos and let us know if you need additional assistance.The design of this weight harkens back to the antique 'moss ground' paperweights, with a carpet of canes set in a basket of staves in alternating pink & green. Within the green cane ground are white floral canes with detailed pink stamen and yellow pistil. Lovely complex inner canes of pink, yellow and orange than turquoise pink and pale blue. The center pink white and yellow cane carries a signature "E". The pattern is set high in the dome over a transparent cobalt core and the weight rests on a flat polished base. Drew Ebelhare was born in southeastern Pennsylvania in 1955. He enjoyed the simple life of a farm child until the age of 10 when his family moved to South Florida. Drew graduated from Florida State University in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in technical theatre and scene design. On graduation, he accepted a position at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas. But after a few years, he became interested in stained glass and made a career change, becoming one of the founding members of The Houston Glass Art Society.
