This is a NO RESERVE auction for a nice pair of *French Victorian twin or single beds* by *Drexel*. They are both signed Drexel and have nice Victorian style shell carvings on the crest of the headboards while the footboards reflect the French influence by the style of the feet. Have a look at the photos w I will describe these French Victorian beds by Drexel in detail. Measurements: Overall each are 44" wide and 80 1/2" long. Inside w the mattress goes is 39" wide by 75 1/2" long. The headboard stands 43" tall and the footboard stands 23" tall to the top of the posts. The drexel name is stamped on the backs of both of these French Victorian twin beds as shown. These Drexel beds have wonderfully executed Victorian style shells carved in the crests of the headboards. The beds set up tightly but both headboards wiggle ever so slightly in the front to back direction. I see w t are supposed to be bolts in the back of the bottom portion of the legs to the headboards that would screw through the legs and into the side rails thus making the headboards tight. We do not have the bolts but a trip to the hardware store to get some 1/4" lag bolts would do the trick I think. They could be left out. The beds would function fine without them. are some close ups of the Victorian style shell designs in the back. These Drexel twin beds have clean, crisp carving as shown. Next we'll look at the footboards. 's w the French influence can be seen. The scrolled posts are very nicely done on these twin beds as would be expected for a company like Drexel that always produces quality products. T is some normal wear to the paint at the top of each one of these scrolls and t are of course scratches on the siderails from use but nothing ugly. Just normal use wear. The French feet on the footboards really set these Drexel twin beds off nicely. And some final views of these Drexel twin beds. We regret that we must charge for storage but we no longer have the space to store items for free after the 30 day period.
