Brands: Projected Sound (Plainfield, IN) Condition: Good condition. These were outdoor speakers and have experienced some light metal rusting/scuffing and minor damage/scuffing on plastic dials (shown in pictures.) All speakers were used in drive in theaters throughout Nebraska and Iowa. We have not attempted to restore the speakers in any way. They can easily be buffed to bring back a stainless steel finish. Theatres: Council Bluffs ( IA), Sky Vue (Waterloo, IA; possibly Unionville, MO), Hillcrest (Cedar Falls, IA), Fairfield (IA) Components: 4 different movie theater speaker with wire attachments. Fully functional as of their last usage, but have been in storage for the last 20+ years. Description: This item is a movie theater speaker box. Originally used in United States drive in movie theaters in the middle 1900's, these speakers would broadcast the sounds of drive in movies directly into a car. Each speaker would be attached to a cable, which in turn was connected to the central sound system for the outdoor theater.
