OUR DRUMMER, BUTLER BROTHERS WHOLESALE CATALOG for December, 1925. Drummers were travelling salesmen or a catalog salesman and this was for general stores in small towns that carried everything but would have special toy and gift sections for Christmas. The catalog measures 13.5x9.25 inches and over 1 inch thick, of thin paper. It begins with a page to calm worry about a poor season and it's being compared back to wartime. Pages of items go up to 662 but the spine bottom has a 2.5" tear and about the first 100 pages are partly or all loose with many turned-up corners, but these items are great and the rest of the catalog is okay with lots of super items. There are: great page of various Santa ads for store use; Stimulator pages with action toys and "jiggers" and 4.5 pages of dolls; 8 regular (not such bargains as the stimulators) pages of dolls plus missing 4 more. There are buggies, Schoenhut circus, furniture for play, 2 pgs. cars to ride; Lehmann's imported mechanical toys; riding cars; trains (and there are 6 pages out of toys if I count correctly.) Christmas ornaments include of fancy wire, figures, the great old kind 10 pages; pages 113-116 are out (part of the toy section) it looks like; page 143 has some ink spots on and then there is an extra page of more special offers; candy-filled Santas and other novelties; car parts read more
