This duck is hand carved and painted. The glass eyes are put in to have the duck look more real. It is solid wood. I tried getting a true picture of the paint but the feathers kept coming out like they were spaced when in reality they are smooth lines and the feathers are black with some grey and brown. The brown solid color feathers are done in a circular pattern to imitate feathers. He measures 22" long from end of nose to end of tail. 5" wide at widest point. The duck itself weighs 3 pounds 12 oz. T are a couple of scratches on him as he is old. He was purchased in the 1980's in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. T is a mark on the bottom and I think it means something. Winning bidder pays for shipping and insurance. Check out my other items !
