Dunhill 1968 shell briar 53 F/T 3 S estate pipeUp for sale is a very nice smoked Dunhill estate pipe.Shape: 53Size: 3Finish: "S" for ShellMaterial: BriarStem: F/T (Fish Tail) White DotDate: 1968 ( "MADE IN ENGLAND8" ) "8" has no underline and is the same height as the "D" in ENGLANDIn addition to deoxidizing the stem, a few toothmarks on the top of the stem were removed using a heating process (see before and after photo's). Stem bit shows beveling from clench hanging. The stem was finished with a 2000 grit polish and a tripoli buffing.The bowl looks crisp inside. The rim is flat and has a little rounding on the front inside. Inside of bowl is excellent with no noticable burnout. The bowl is polished with pure carnauba wax.Est.
