This is a very attractive and collectable china mug from Dunoon, called “Woodland Secrets” and depicting a variety of woodland plant and animal life including the hedgehog, shrew, weasel, roe deer and nuthatch amongst others. There is a small rodent on the inside and a tree on the handle. It is an elegantly-curved mug, measuring 10.5cm tall and 7.5cm in diameter at the rim. It is stamped on the base with “Woodland Secrets. A design by Jane Fern. Dunoon Fine Bone China. Made in England .” It is in very good condition, with little if any evidence of use, and would make a great gift or addition to a collection.
