Duofold Lady in Black 1930-1932 Up for auction is this very well preserved “Streamlined” Duofold Lady in black plastic with a manufacture date, to judge by the cap bands, 1930-1932. Measurements are as follows: capped 4.47” (113.65 mm); posted 5.60” (142.12 mm); cap OD 0.47” (12.11 mm); barrel OD 0.42” (10.57 mm). I would rate the overall condition of this pen as very good. T is no apparent brassing to the cap bands and very little to the ring top. Both the cap and barrel are smooth and glossy with only minimal “drawer wear” and some minute scratches visible under magnification. The imprint is crisp and clear. The nib, likewise, is in very good condition despite a slight splaying of the tines making it impossible to determine whether it is medium or fine. It will have to be tuned. The filling system is not working and needs restoring though the filler button is in good condition and the pressure bar seems to be intact.
