DUTCH Old Master Tavern Interior Oil Painting- Tassel QUALITY ANTIQUE OIL PAINTING 19th Century THE CARD GAME DUTCH BOOR TAVERN SCENE ASCRIBED TASSEL NO RESERVE SALE DATES- 19th Century ARTIST- Ascribed Tassel MEDIUM- Oils on wooden panel DESCRIPTION- Fr om a good group of oil paintings and watercolours we have recently acquired. All are offered in as found "attic condition" and are in various states of preservation. This one is ascribed verso Tassel. Acard game looks to turn quite serious with both players determined to win.One figure has his pistol ready should the scene turn ugly. CONDITION- Somewhat dark and a little dirty with some varnish browning evident. Craqueleur and slight paint crystalisation can be seen upon closer examination. Some thinner paint in areas- this one needs a little attention. Please note that the appearance of the panel is perhaps a little darker in real life than the photographs otherwise suggest. This is a very difficult item to photograph. Offered unframed.
