DVH! 69x41 RARE Polyhedroid agate BEAD Fluorescent GRN Description A really cool, funky, rare, and original bead! This super unusual agate is from a slice of a nodule called a Polyhedroid agate. I hand cut this bead which measures 69x41mm by 10 mm thick with a 3mm drill hole. They are EXTREMELY rare! The outside edge of this bead is the natural edge of the outside of the agate nodule that I used to make this bead Both faces of this bead are low domed and highly polished. The outside banding of this agate is slightly translucent and the interior band is a dark black and grey. BUT WAIT!!! T's more! I discovered by CHANCE that this material has a FLUORESCENT GREEN banding in the agate under short wave ultraviolet light. I took the photo of the fluorescence under a single short wave ultraviolet light. That's not a traditional black light. Short wave is a special light used for viewing minerals and sterilizing things, and you don't look into it or it will burn your retinas out (if you look at it for awhile). But fluorescent stones are RARE and COOL!!! When a stone is fluorescent, AND an extremely rare agate, AND polished pretty, AND drilled so that you can WEAR it around your neck and talk about it, well, then they are even more desirable and RARE!!!
