By switching the Top lid or “Y” Webbing Strap, the pouch easily converts between two distinct uses. One as a 1-quart canteen/bottle/radio or open top pouch (when using the “Y” strap) or as a fully enclosed protective pouch for sensitive equipment or magazines (when using the Top Lid). The perimeter of the Open rim of the pouch is lined with elastic and easily allows for use as a dump pouch.
