Two older, Vintage and Antique Oil Cans with some interesting stamped or labeled details for one combined auction and shipping price, as follows:Vintage Motor Oil Can labeled "RAINBOW PUMP OILER Made in U.S.A. EAGLE MANUFACTURING COMPANY" on label attached to side of oil can -and- "EAGLE" stamped on the handle as seen in photos above. The oil can measures approximately 10 1/4" tall with a 3" diameter base with a bend in the neck of the pump oiler and two dents in the top of the base. It appears to be in good working condition, free of rust with the pump moving freely. This is a very nice old oiler with side label and stamped handle. Extra old tin soldered Oil Can with a slightly bent spout that came out of the drawer of a very old Singer Sewing Machine with a date stamped on the base of the oil can as follows: "PAT FEB Y. 26. 1867" This oil can has some rust on it and the spout does not unscrew. The oil can measures only approximately 3 1/4" tall with a 2 1/8" outside diameter base. I believe this to be very scarce in this size, and particularly with the old patent date stamped on the base of this miniature oil can!
After more than 40 years of collecting old fruit jars, bottles and other items of interest, I need to sell my collection. I am frequently posting for sale on Ebay many old fruit jars, lids, bottles, interesting go-withs and other items that I have assembled in my collection over many years, and have decided to post them in a "true auction format" by placing minimum starting bids on all the items because that's how I acquired them - by digging dumps, attending many farm & household auctions, traveling many miles to hundreds of flea markets & antique shows, or buying direct from the "old timers" themselves who owned them - all before the internet was available to us.Please on all of my items because your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed by the fact that I will re-purchase any one of my items from you for the same price you paid here on Ebay if you notify me within 7 days of your receipt of the item that you are not pleased with it for any reason. However, please note that I will not agree to renegotiate the auction's final sale price after the close of the auction. Keep in mind that after my collecting these items for so long (having owned many of them for more than 40 years), there is not one item that I would not welcome "back home." Your satisfaction and future enjoyment of each item is most important to me! This has been a great hobby for me, one that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I only hope these items bring you as much pride and joy in your pursuit of collecting examples of older, early American glassware and other antiques & collectibles as they provided for me for so long!
