The wire rocker base, manufactured by Banner Metals of Compton, California, for Herman Miller, were available beginning in 1948. They were so famously popular that they are still in production at Herman Miller today. Offered is a high-quality reproduction zinc-plated rocker base with solid walnut runners; made to the exact specifications of the original rocker bases. The chair pictured is not included in the listing, it is shown as an example only. This base will fit any Charles Eames for Herman Miller shell with the narrow shockmount configuration.
