Design by Charles and Ray Eames.Fiberglass and SteelMade in USA by Herman Miller Original fiberglass side chair by Herman Miller. An absolute classic, and one of the Eames’ best-known designs. The molded fiberglass chair was borne out of a chair originally designed in metal for MoMA’s International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design in 1948. In 1950 the material was changed to fiberglass. The deep seat pocket and waterfall seat edge keep you comfortable by reducing pressure on the backs of thighs. An absolute classic, and one of the Eames’ best-known designs.An original Charles Eames for Herman Miller shell chair rocker. Thick orange fiberglass with original rocker base. The shell is in good shape. There are no cracks, chips or holes. The base has some light wear present. It has 3 labels present, Herman Miller paper label and incised H on the fiberglass and then the name Herman Miller incised in the fiberglass.Made post 1950.
