RARE ALL ORIGINAL HERMAN MILLER CHARLES EAMES DESIGNED 1ST 1950 PRODUCTION RAR ROCKER BASE WITH ZENITH "PARCHMENT" ROPE EDGE FIBERGLASS ARM SHELL CHAIR IN EXCELLENT CONDITION !! This is a 100% original 1st mass production Rocking Armchair,a Zenith RAR designed by the great Charles Eames, manufactured byZenith Plastics, Gardena, California in 1950 and distributed by Herman Miller, Zeeland, Michigan, A1 vintage condition, no breaks, no cracks, no chips, no replacement parts, absolutely pristine, the pictures tell it all.This rare first production shell is in excellent condition and is a cream white/yellow in color refered to as "PARCHMENT", it has a very subtle consistent hint of pale yellow throughout with stunning vibrancy to the fibers. T are no chips, scratches, cracks or stains with the exception of some naturally darker fibers in the rope and curved edge areas, absolutely gorgeous, superfibrous, subtle, superb. The clearly visible rope edge runs the entire edge of the chair, this rare detail is found only in the very first years of production. The early checkerboard label decal is clearly intact with some minor scratches but still crisp and legible in every detail.
