EXQUISITE ANTIQUE V-IN-HEART PATTERN SQUARE OPEN COMPOTE GORGEOUS old early American pressed pattern glass TRUE OPEN PEDESTAL COMPOTE, comport, sweetmeat, pedestal bowl, candy dish. The pattern is V-IN-HEART . Glassmaker: Bryce Higbee, ca. 1905. A lovely piece of antique glass, crystal clear & shiny with a well defined heart pattern, perfect for Valentine's Day gift giving. This lovely piece of antique glass measures 8-1/4" SQUARE at the mouth x 6" tall. She stands nice and level and steady on a 4" diameter foot. The bowl itself is approximately 3" deep. EXCELLENT CONDITION! NO CRACKS! NO CHIPS, but there is a sharp little point on the top ruffled edge which feels rough...you'll have to feel for it to find it. Any colors in the pictures are reflections or lighting error...this piece is CRYSTAL CLEAR & SPARKLING, colorless, with NO PURPLING! There are some tiny bubbles and some strawmarks and swirls in the glass, which are normal findings in glass from this era. I see some very fine, light scratches and some light wear...nothing at all objectionable and best viewed when held up to bright light. This is a SPECTACULAR piece of antique pattern glass and one for your collection for sure! You won't be disappointed, she's an absolute TREASURE!Please visit my other auctions to see more precious glassware, including cake stands, compotes
