I AM A PROUD MEMBER OF THE GLASS AND POTTERY SELLERS ASSOCIATION SO PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE! GPSA Member Glass & Pottery Sellers' Association We are pleased to offer for bidding consideration this early American pattern glass cake plate in the Two Band pattern by Doyle & Company, circa 1880. For many years this pattern could not be attributed to any particular maker, hence the lack of ID reference in McCains book. However attributes this to Doyle & Co. It has probably been ID'ed since the pulication of McCain's book. This plate is in excellent condition. T are no chips, cracks or repairs and t are very few if any scratches other than the shelf wear on the bottom. The mold marks are rough as is typical of EAPG, but none of the roughness goes past the mold. T is a long straw mark across the center of the upper side as seen in the pictures. This is not a scratch but a factory flaw in the glass. This is a very rare piece of glass Americana that rarely comes to auction in this condition. Please bid accordingly. Measurements- 11-1/2 inches in diameter. Measurements do not include handles. Payment Payment is due within 7 days of auction ending.
