Up for sale is a very nice old shaker from Central Glass Co., Circa 1886-1891. This shaker is the 'Thumbprint, Swirl-Based' pattern in Vaseline glass. Classified as Mold Blown and Press and considered Scarce. The shaker has a dual mold process with thumbprints on the inside, and small swirls on the footed bottom. Shaker is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and comes with a heavier old metal lid. Size is approximately 3" tall. We will be listing pieces from a collector who has had them on display in cabinets for many years. We will do our best to describe each item(s) condition and encourage questions. Besides using the internet for reference information, we are using two guide books: Glass Salt Shakers by Arthur G. Peterson 1970, and The World of Salt Shakers by Mildred & Ralph Lechner 1976. Items will be carefully packaged and shipped USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. .
