The toothpick holder is shown in the pictures from 4 sides, bottom, top and some close ups.The 2nd picture is from the "American and European Pressed Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass" by J. S. Spillman showing this piece (p 297). This author was the museums curator of American glass for many years.According to the book this was probably manufactured by the Tiffin Glass Company c.1890-1900.This piece is in very good condition overall, considering its age.No chips or cracks except for a rough and what looks like a shaved off tiny piece at the edge of the cart. You can see this in the last picture.There is also a couple of tiny dings (I think they are called fleabites) on the edge. These are not easily noticeable. I saw them with a magnifying glass. You can see an example in the picture before last. I do not know if the above mentioned imperfections are from use, or from the manufacturing process of those days.Some scratches present from normal use of over 100 yrs.It stands about 2 1/8" high. It is about 4 3/4" by about 2 3/8" when measuring between the two farthest points.This is considered antique (over 100 years old) since it is at least 115 years old.This piece turns yellow/green under long wave UV light (black lamp).Early American Pattern Glass items could have straw marks, bubbles, mold marks, andembedded particles, (all from read more
