You are looking at an 1850's spill holder in flint Early American Pattern Glass. This is the Harp ( AKA Lyre) pattern that was produced by McKee and other glass houses from the 1830's to the 1850's. This a very nice piece of glass with great clarity and a lovely ring to it when tapped with finger. It does not have a pontil mark present on the underside of the base. I can find a teeny tiny pin flake present on one of the harps as seen in the last picture and minor roughness to the mold seam areas on some of the side seams ( will not show in picture). There are a few straw marks in this one. It is just over 4 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across at its widest point .There are air bubbles and wear imperfections has to be expected in a piece of glass from this era. Please and see my other listings for more pcs. of EAPG flint items I am currently listing.
