EAPG McKEE GLASS QUEEN PATTERN VASELINE PEDESTAL CAKE STAND You are bidding on a beautiful antique EAPG vaseline glass pedestal cake stand/plate made by McKee Glass company, circa 1894 in the Queen Pattern aka daisy & button with pointed panels, daisy with depressed button, paneled daisy, pointed panel daisy and button and last but not least sunk daisy with button. This is a rare cake stand in vaseline glass and is mentioned in THE EARLY AMERICAN PATTERN GLASS COLLECTOR'S GUIDE. Vaseline glass glows because of the uranium content in the glass. The pattern is gorgeous with the pressed glass pattern of daisies and buttons that is complimented with the statuesque pedestal base. The pedestal base also has the queen pattern that silhouettes to the ribbed base. This cake stand glows as you can see under a black light and is on fire! This appears ti have never been used just displayed and has three mould marks. T are some minor straw marks and bubbles which is always found on old glass. This beautiful cake stand measures 5-1/8" high x 9-1/2" wide and has no chips, cracks, nor any visible or felt repairs. This also comes from my grandmothers collection. My grandmother had a diner in Queens, Ny and she collected many different types of cake stands/plate w she would display her delicious cakes. I loved her chocolate peanut butter cake with chocolate peanut butter icing. Oh yeah she also made this to die for strawberry shortcake! Yummy, no one can cook like granny's all made with love and from scratch.
