This auction is for an early Waffle pattern flint glass low standard compote with scalloped edge (7" diameter, 5-1/4" high) by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company (1850's). This compote is in very good condition and has a nice ring. T are no chips or cracks; t is only one tiny fleabite on the underside of the base. T are a few pieces of sand and some bubbles in the glass, which are both common in this early flint glass. The top of the scalloped edge has some wear marks (as seen in the third photograph). The shear mark is visible across the bottom of the bowl w the molten glass was cut as a part of the molding process. Please ask questions prior to bidding.
