EAPG Vintage Pedestal Cake Plate Pavonia Pineapple Stem US Glass 1891 NO RESERVE! This is a vintage pretty old pedestal cake plate obtained from an old estate in Iowa . It has a diamond pineapple like pattern. T is a 1/4 inch lip on the plate and the pattern under the plate shows (3/8 inch) below the edge. It glows yellow vaseline with a black light, has 3 mold lines, and a small wavy spot in the center w the plate was applied. It is in very good condition and had very little use. T are just a couple utensil marks. Also, on the curve of the base right below the pattern are some small c shaped lines done in the making. T are no chips or cracks. The plate is a nice size- 9-1/2 inches in diameter and 6-3/4 inches high. The base is 5 ½ inches in diameter. Please note: the cake stand sets flat and straight, sorry about the poor photo. An eBay user has identified this cake stand as being made by Ripley & Co. c 1885-86 or U S Glass c 1891 and is called Pavonia or Pineapple Stem.
