Unusual early 1900s musical instrument - made of lovely wood. This Phoneon Player Organ is circa 1900 - 1920 and comes with 101 assorted music rolls Overall dimensions = height 56 inches, width 49 inches, depth 26 inches . COLLECT ONLY - 7 MILES WEST OF BISHOP AUCKLAND, Co DURHAM CASH ON COLLECTION PLEASE For those interested in this as a musical intrument (rather than a piece of furniture) it was taken apart but not put back together, then stored in a shed for many years. It is believed most (if not all) parts are there - including the keys from the keyboard which are not shown on the photos. The musical roll tracker bar has 65 air holes. The music scrolls were bought separately, 85 are in their original boxes and have been catalogued, the remaining 16 are in boxes (some without lids) but not the original box for the scroll and have not been catalogued. Of the 85 catalogued scrolls about 25% are Metrostyle, 25% Themodist, 10% Meloto and the remaining 40% a mixture of others (eg standard and universal 65 note, Piano). The scrolls have been stored with the Phoneon and have been unopened for many years but on recent inspection most seem to be of fair quality (not torn and not frayed at the edges etc).
