Up for sale is some very nice antique Redwing pottery made in Minnesota during the early 1900's. The style is zinc-glazed stoneware, which refers to the process by which the glaze is applied to the pots by throwing zinc into the kiln when it reaches its maximum temperature of 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit. The finished pots have a grey or tan clay body with a Cobalt blue number that indicates how many gallons the container is. This particular piece does have some wear. There are 4 cracks on the crock and one handle is broken. There is also some rust staining. Don't be afraid to make me an offer. This crock still makes for a great display piece!
