RARE early 20thC Vintage 12" STEIFF TEDDY BEAR w/ BUTTON Jointed Hump -Scroll or - Early 20th century Steiff teddy bear with the steel ear button intact. Bear appears to be from the 1910's, possibly early 20's. Bear is fully jointed with a humpback, excelsior filling, inoperable growler (I can feel the spring), and black boot button eyes. Measures approx. 12" tall, button measures approx. 4mm in diameter. Bear has wear overall from use and age. Felt pads have heavy deterioration (left foot pad is missing) and have been replaced/covered at some point. The replaced pads have loose seams, the left foot replaced pad dangles. Bear has some loose seams, a hole at the nose, and a partially torn left ear. Mohair has heavy loss. Body of bear has some soft spots from excelsior loss and settling, mainly at the upper chest, feet, and upper arms. Please see photos, sold as found. Check out my other items !
