This is an extremely beautiful example of a Zeiss Anastigmat, (later named Protar after much use of the word anastigmat by rival lens makers). The focal length is 17 cms, or 6.75 inches. Maximum aperture is F6.3, and the very smooth iris stops down to F64.It comes with brass retaining ring and a gorgeous (non Zeiss) lined black and green leather case.The focal length of 17 cms is ideal for 5x4, either portrait or landscape. It should also cover half plate and 7 x 5.The glass has no cloudiness or fungus or separation.It is an exemplary lens.Please feel free to ask questions before bidding.
