Presently Offered by Appletree Hill: One of the True Literary Classics, A NEAR-FINE Leather-Bound Early Edition of VILLETTE by Charlotte Bronte! Printed in Great Britain and Published by John C. Winston Co. in BURGANDY, LEATHER. Book Condition is Very Good + to Near-Fine. Undated, but circa 1913 h. , 4.5X6 inches tall, 624 pps. Burgundy leather over boards with gilt lettering on fr & spine and gilt top page edges. One of the truly great classics in American Literature. Leather covers are slightly bumped and rubbed at corners and edges, front hinge exhibits weakness, pages are somewhat darkened around periphery and I noticed a few mildly " dog-eared". Prior owner's name written on "fly-leaf. Otherwise, book is solid and unmarked, Illustrations are bright. A great find for the Literary Connoisseur and teriffic read for One-And-All!
