~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~Early Peg Rail Rack~ ~Outstanding Old Dry Blue Paint~ ~Chester County Pa. Origin~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I am offering for your consideration an outstanding early primitive peg rail out of Chester County Pennsylvania. As you may know, early peg rails or racks are nearly impossible to find these days, so I feel very fortunate to have found this piece to offer. This peg rail measures 40 3/4 inches long x 1 3/4 inches wide. The nicely formed pegs range between 1 3/4 inches and 2 inches in length (one has a half missing 'button' end). I have shown how a group of hand dipped candles, a fairly large piece of cloth as well as a nice sized doll chair present themselves on this piece. They are not included in this offering, but were merely added to give you an idea of how well this piece will work for you. The painted surface is a great old dry light blue paint, however t is a darker dry blue paint beneath. It would likely be a simple task to reveal the darker blue paint, however I do not know how much of it still remains. It was my own choice to leave it unaltered and leave the paint history as found and pure. This fabulous early hard to find utilitarian primitive piece is truly a fresh to the market find!!
