This auction is for a lush antique Victorian/early 1900s silk velvet textile fragment in a shade of French Vanilla, in my opinion.....It is not the color as shown in Photo 2. It is in very good condition with no major flaws that I detect aside from a surface mark on the underside. It consists of a high content of silk fibers with a cotton base. It does not have a thin pile, but it is certainly pliable. It is so very soft in texture. It is being sold "AS IS".This measures approximately (NOT yardage). Detailed measurements provided later today (February 6). This is from my personal collection.THIS MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 12.5" x 12"....IT HAS A 3/16" SELVEDGE ON ONE SIDE......ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT REALLY NOTICEABLE, I HAVE RECENTLY DETECTED THE TEENY TINIEST SURFACE DOTS WHICH DO NOT DETRACT;I NOTICED THEM WHEN HELD TO THE LIGHT, BUT THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT A MAJOR ISSUE....IF ONE WISHES FOR ABSOLUTE PERFECTION, PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING A BID SINCE THIS IS NON-RETURNABLE. . THIS IS OF THE VICTORIAN ERA.
