EARLY Eye Doctor Ophthalmometer Cast Iron Scope Optical I found this in an old building that many years ago was an eye doctor's office. It is marked "Universal Ophthalmometer" & "Genernal Optical Company". I don't know for sure how old it is, but I would guess 19-teens or 20's. It has a cast iron base, brass face, & brass knobs. I have done nothing to clean it up, except for a light dusting. I'll leave the cleaning up to the buyer. The cord is bad, so I have no idea if it works or not, I don't even know how complete it is. What you see is what you get. Overall measures about 24" long and 18" high. Shipping will be $35 in the USA. I think this would be a great display piece for the Eye Doctor who is also an antique lover! A little restoration work and you'll have a real conversation piece! NO RESERVE!!!!
