This is an early 18th century Georgian George 11 castor made in London in 1729 by top maker Thomas Bamford, it is a lovely shape,it has had the base removed at some stage and re-attached see photo, the hallmarkks are good on the base with maker on the lid, it is 4-3/4" high and weighs 70 grams.A nice castor with issues hence a very low price for a Bamford castor,SEE MY OTHER ITEMS ON EBAY
