Early Griswold " ERIE " #8 Cast Iron Skillet With Heat Ring You are bidding on a VERY NICE early piece of GRISWOLD cookware, "ERIE". When I say early I mean late 1800's to early 1900's. This skillet has a smooth 9" cooking surface with a 5" handle along with the traditional double pour spouts. The bottom of the skillet is marked as follows: " ERIE " B 8 If you notice the pictures the number and letter are not in line to the word " ERIE ". It is almost as if something was off when they made this skillet. When checking for flatness on my glass top range using feeler gages, I came up with it being less than .010" from being completely flat. I find that to be remarkable considering the age of this skillet. This skillet is VERY CLEAN and has been lightly oiled. There are some very minor marks on the cooking surface which you should be able to see in the pictures. NO RESERVE!!!! I do combine shipping!!
